Energy Prices, Climate Crisis: What can we do?

Oxford Friends of the Earth is a thriving and effective local group that has been active for over 40 years. Our purpose is to work together to promote a healthy and sustainable environment

Public meeting and discussion

We face two big challenges: a changing climate and fast rising energy prices. There are common solutions to these – including saving energy and using it wisely. The event will discuss how we can do this and what needs to happen in Oxfordshire and across the UK.

Speakers include:

  • Nick Eyre, Professor of Energy and Climate Policy, University of Oxford – The challenge of saving energ – now and in the future
  • Cllr Liz Leffman, Leader, Oxfordshire County Council
  • Adam Scorer, CEO, National Energy Action – Fuel poverty and climate action
  • Barbara Hammond, CEO, Low Carbon Hub Oxford City Council
  • Community First Oxfordshire
