April action – it’s all in our newsletter

Oxford Friends of the Earth is a thriving and effective local group that has been active for over 40 years. Our purpose is to work together to promote a healthy and sustainable environment

April action – it’s all in our newsletter

OxFoE’s April newsletter is now out and available here.  We are holding our annual meeting on Weds April 8th, on-line using Zoom software – full details are in the newsletter.

We will be reviewing what we’ve done this year and looking at what we can best do while we’re in lockdown.  There are also online meetings on Trees and Zero Carbon Homes.   We will also be developing our response to the Oxfordshire Local Transport Plan that is now out for its’ initial consultation.

We will also be watching the situation with regard to air pollution – the positive outcome of the current crisis. We’ve been on BBC radio and TV this week around this issue.  If millions of people really can work from home during a crisis, then we need to find ways to support them to do the same once the crisis is over.  This must be a lesson that the Transport Plan takes on board.
