The lockdown has enabled people to think more about their lives and how they are leading them. The dramatic change in our environment over a short period of time was so apparent with the palpable peace in our communities. The noticeable birdsong and the movement of animals into our communities has shown that a few changes to our lives impacts our environment and mental and physical health in a positive way. This needs to be encouraged and facilitated for the future generations.
Covid 19 has shone a light on inequalities in our society with regard to health, age, economics, housing, education, race and ability. The community focus needs to continue to enable aid given to vulnerable people in our communities, we need to be striving for greater equality and inclusion within our communities. The elderly need to be protected through being part of the NHS structure where Care workers have the same status as carers in the NHS. We need to continue to work together to improve our lives.
