A campaign to stop burning things

I am a mum with two teenage daughters. I am educated to a fairly high degree on environmental resources matters and am incredibly concerned about the lack of conducive efforts to tackle climate change in a sustainable way, despite the efforts of the green movement over the years.
Working from home saves about 6 hours commute time per week. So having noticed many parties with carbon reduction strategy at the heart, but with various solutions and perspectives, I use this saved time to get involved and ‘cross-pollinate’ ideas between groups – whether roots groups, or targeted carbon fee (particularly Citizen’s Climate Lobby) type groups, renewables technology advocates and nuclear advocates, or plastic waste reduction schemes.
Also, from a consumer perspective, I have a sideline hobby of making shower soap net-bags to give away; we found this a successful replacement for bottled showergel. We also started to make popcorn instead of buying crisps in order to reduce plastic waste!
