Welcome to 2020

Oxford Friends of the Earth is a thriving and effective local group that has been active for over 40 years. Our purpose is to work together to promote a healthy and sustainable environment

Welcome to 2020

It’s going to be a busy year.

We need to see pledges to act by government and councils turned into real action, and we need to be gearing up for the critical UN Climate talks – COP26, taking place in Glasgow in November.

Our next meeting is this Wednesday, 8 January, 7.30–9.00 pm at our usual venue; Friends’ Meeting House, 43 St Giles, Oxford.  We’ll be discussing our plans for the year ahead, including what we do for the Oxfordshire Trees for the Future campaign, on climate change and our Zero Carbon Homes campaign, and on air pollution and transport.

Our latest newsletter has all the details – read it here.
